Cultural diversity is offered by our historic saltworks town of Traunstein, as well as the Georgiritt, which takes place annually on Easter Monday. Nearby Salzburg attracts with cafes, theaters and the annual festival.
In winter, the Tobi-Angerer cross-country ski trail inspires you to a cross-country trip with adventure value. The towns of Ruhpolding and Inzell invite you with a variety of cross-country ski trails, toboggan runs and winter hiking trails. The Ruhpolding Chiemgau Arena is the main venue for the annual Biathlon World Cup and is always worth a visit.
